Flutternym
Flutternym is a Wind healer with area recovery, debuff removal and shielding options. Basic Form Healing Dance restores 9% of the caster’s maximum HP over eight seconds and gives allies inside its zone 40% BREAK Damage Reduction. Choose its available skills around the pressure your team is facing.

Where to look for Basic Form
Flutternym’s Basic Form habitats are Sea of Flowers, Nimbus Fields, The Mistwoods and Blitzwood. Look for the companion while exploring those regions and check the encounter’s capture conditions before spending an Aniipod. The habitat list identifies regions rather than a guaranteed spawn point.
Flutternym also has Sea of Flowers, Nighttime and Mountain Woods forms. Match the form in your collection to the kit you are reading: the skill descriptions below cover Basic Form. Catching another form does not establish that its abilities are identical.
Pick the recovery effect you need
Each skill below lists a cost of 20 EP. Build your sequence around the abilities currently available to your companion; having a skill listed in the kit does not mean every new catch can immediately use the entire set.
| Skill | Effect | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Healing Dance | Creates a healing zone underfoot: 9% of caster max HP restored over 8 seconds; allies within the zone receive 40% BREAK Damage Reduction. | This is gradual recovery. BREAK Damage Reduction is not a blanket reduction to all incoming damage. |
| Purifying Dance | Removes debuffs on surrounding teammates; after removal, increases their EP recovery rate by 20% for 10 seconds. | Use it to answer debuffs. The EP recovery benefit follows the removal condition. |
| Wind of Rejuvenation | An area heal totaling 9% of caster max HP over 8 seconds; Wind Aniimo receive an additional 3% healing. | Keep the Wind-specific benefit separate from the ordinary heal. |
| Wind of Regeneration | A shield for allies in the target area equal to 12% of caster max HP, lasting 20 seconds. | A shield prepares for incoming pressure; it is not the same effect as restoring missing HP. |
A practical recovery sequence
Before a difficult exchange, check whether the problem is missing HP, an active debuff or an incoming hit. Keep 20 EP available for the answer you need instead of treating the recovery skills as a fixed sequence to cast whenever possible.
When teammates have taken damage and can remain near the healing area, use Healing Dance. Start the recovery before the next dangerous exchange: its total healing arrives over eight seconds rather than as an immediate full amount.
When debuffs are interfering with the team, move within range and use Purifying Dance once available. After a successful removal, make use of the temporary EP recovery increase while continuing to dodge and reposition.
When you need protection before damage arrives, place Wind of Regeneration where the relevant allies can receive its shield. Choose the heal or shield deliberately; spending on one can leave too little EP for the other.
Flutter Heal and movement utility
Flutter Heal increases healing by 20% when Flutternym enters battle as the active Aniimo. Keep that condition in mind when comparing its kit with another healer rather than adding 20 percentage points to every listed healing value.
Basic Form has Fly Lv.1, and Luminous Prowl enters a Cloaked state surrounded by pink mist. Try the displayed movement action in a safe area before relying on it during exploration. A cloaked state does not by itself establish immunity, unrestricted flight or a guaranteed escape from every enemy.
Flutternym or Skippy in the starter team?
Both can occupy the recovery slot, but their skills ask for different decisions. Choose the companion whose available kit addresses your immediate problem.
| Need | Flutternym Basic Form | Skippy Basic Form |
|---|---|---|
| Recovery pattern | Healing Dance provides an eight-second area heal. | Healing Water restores allied HP and separately provides recovery to the caster over five seconds. |
| Debuffs and incoming pressure | Purifying Dance removes debuffs; Wind of Regeneration offers an area shield. | Choose it for its Healing Water recovery and the rest of its Water kit. |
| Exploration | Fly Lv.1 and Luminous Prowl. | Swim Lv.1. |
| Investment check | Compare caster max HP for the listed healing and shield scaling. | Healing Water also scales from the caster’s max HP. |
Fit it into a team without losing other jobs
Use Flutternym as the recovery alternative in a party with a main damage dealer, a BREAK companion and the utility needed for the route. For the starter setup, this means replacing Skippy while keeping Helion or Lunara and Hummin; reassess the last slot for the next task.
This substitution changes Water recovery and swimming utility into a Wind healing kit. If your trip needs swimming, account for that movement gap before setting out. Do not replace the team’s only BREAK option simply because another healer is available.
Review maximum HP and the recovery skills you actually use before spending rare training materials. Improving a relevant stat is only useful if you can preserve EP, place the area correctly and use the skill when the team needs it.
